The Advanced Certificate and Diploma in Human Resource Management (Flexible Learning) are suitable for those who:

Each programme develops the professional knowledge and skills required in HR Management at practitioner level.

What is the difference between the Certificate and Diploma?

Both programmes consist of a range of core and optional units. Each unit carries a number of credits. lf you wish to study for the Diploma programme, you will complete more units than you would for the Certificate programme.

To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management you need to complete any 4 modules from the core, Group A and Group B units above. Your chosen units must form a coherent programme. A total of 60 credits.

To achieve the Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management you need to complete the 4 core units (60 credits) and 4 optional units. Your optional units must include at least 3 units from Group A with a maximum of I unit allowed from Group B. A total of 120 credits.

How do we deliver the programme?

We offer the Certificate and Diploma programmes on a flexible basis. You will be allocated an Assessor to work with you throughout. To achieve the optional units you will undertake a range of activities including gathering work-based evidence, professional discussion and knowledge statements.

Assessment of the two core units Human Resource Management in Context and Leading, Managing and Developing People is undertaken by exams. Supporting workshops will be provided to help with study and preparation for these units.

The core unit lnvestigating a Business lssue from a Human Resource Perspective, requires completion of a 7,000 word report.

The unit Developing Skills for Leadership, focuses on your Continuing Professional Development.

As part of the programme, we will also support you in undertaking assessment for membership of the CIPD at Associate, Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow level, if appropriate.

What is the duration of the programme?

You will have up to 2 years, but you can complete more quickly if you wish.

Where will I meet with my Assessor?

Usually at your workplace, but meetings can also be at an alternative location. You may also have 'virtual' meetings by phone, email or Skype. You will have an initial induction meeting and then up to 1O meetings or'virtual' meetings for the Certificate programme and up to 12for the Diploma.
