cHRysos Donates to Hull Foodbank and MacMillan Cancer Support
On the 18th September, Team cHRysos got together for a face-to-face team event and participated in a challenge, which led to double charity gifts: both a cash donation to MacMillan, and food donations to a local foodbank in Hull, run by the Trussell Trust.

The team was challenged to create a list of 10 items they would consider putting into an emergency food parcel. The list was... Pasta, rice, canned fish, baked beans, tinned vegetables, long-life milk, tinned fruit, porridge oats, soup, and tea/coffee.
Each team member purchased every item on the list. It was interesting when everyone shared their purchases, as there was a twist to this challenge…if you had purchased the same item (brand or flavour) as another team member you were ‘fined’, however all fines went to a worthy charity, and all food items were taken to a local food bank.
John is a volunteer at Hull Foodbank two days a week and was extremely grateful for the donation, with it being at a low point in the year for donations between Harvest and Christmas. John is an incredible person, giving up his time for such a worthy cause, and we are delighted to be able to support them with a food donation. More information on Hull Foodbank can be found here.
October is also Breast and Liver Cancer Awareness Month, and we donated the money raised during this challenge to MacMillan Cancer Support.
We are honoured to be able to get together as a team and have the opportunity to donate to these amazing causes, and we plan to continue this with future team events.
