Choose Your Qualification Level
How Do I Choose The Right Level Of Management Qualification?
Our Level 3 qualifications provide a great introduction to management and give you the opportunity to develop practical skills in managing both people and tasks. They are ideal for those starting out as a first line manager, as well as those looking for a qualification to underpin their experience at this level.
Our Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership will build on your expertise as a manager and enhance your skills in developing a team and individuals, as well as problem-solving and decision-making. They are ideal for middle managers or those looking to develop to senior management level. Whereas studying at Level 3 will develop your practical skills and underpinning knowledge, at Level 5 you will also take a broader organisational perspective of matters. There is a much greater emphasis on theory, as well as practice and a commitment to a higher number of hours of independent study.
CMI Level 7 qualifications are designed for Strategic level managers and leaders.
Completing a postgraduate qualification means you will have a great depth of knowledge, and an understanding of the role and responsibilities of strategic leadership. You will develop and use skills in critical analysis and reflection and know how to develop strategy that will drive organisational performance.
At this level of study you will be asked to evaluate and critically analyse models and concepts and to apply these to the context of an organisation. As a Masters-level qualification, you will need to be able to commit to an extensive programme of study, be very self-motivated and self-disciplined so that you make good progress, as well as being capable of studying at this academic level.
