Choose Your Qualification Pathway

CIPD qualifications have 2 pathways to choose from: Human Resources and Learning and Development, both of which provide key knowledge and skills that will enable you to develop people practice and management skills and give support and advice to managers and others within your organisation, develop your own career and achieve a professional level of membership of the CIPD.

Individuals who are taking a more generalist HR career pathway often choose to study a qualification in this field, just the same way that those specialising in L&D might choose this as their study pathway. Having said that, the CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice at level 3 develops knowledge and skills needed at that level for either pathway, making this qualification appropriate for both HR and L&D professions, leading to the award of CIPD Foundation Membership once completed.

At Level 5 there’s a choice of Associate Diploma in People Management or Organisational Learning and Development for those working in operational roles, whilst individuals aiming for a post-graduate level qualification, we can offer the Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management, or Strategic Learning and Development. All the level 5 and level 7 qualifications provide CIPD Associate Membership on completion.

Because there are also lots of different ways to study, you can work towards your qualification in a way that suits your needs and lifestyle. Don’t forget you can pay flexibly as well. What more could you ask for!
