CIPD Foundation Level Qualifications: Human Resources
Our Foundation level qualifications in HR provide a great introduction to the profession. They are highly recognised by employers and give you the opportunity to develop practical skills. The aim of the Foundation qualifications is to make sure you have a solid background of knowledge and skills upon which to build; something that will serve you well throughout your HR career.
They topics you study will cover key aspects of HR including: Resourcing Talent, Employee Relations, Employee Reward, and Performance Management. There are also more specialist topics available such as Job Analysis and Supporting Change. There’s also the option to study one or two learning and development-related subjects, such as Undertaking a Learning Needs Analysis or Developing Coaching Skills for the Workplace.
There are three CIPD Foundation level qualifications in Human Resources:
Once you’ve completed either a Certificate or Diploma qualification, you will become an Associate of the CIPD and can use the designatory letters Assoc. CIPD after your name.
At cHRysos HR you can study these qualifications through the following routes:
- Part-time – with attendance at workshops about 2 days a month. The workshops are really practical and help you to develop the skills you need for tasks such as recruitment and selection including interviewing, holding a performance review with a member of staff or carrying out a job analysis interview. You’ll get the chance to network with like-minded professionals and we provide lunch and refreshments when you are with us for full-day workshops.
- Work-based – for those already working in a HR. Rather than going to classes, you work on a one to one with a tutor-assessor. Our work-based approach lets you use the experience you’ve already got behind you and turn it into a qualification. You will still need to do assignments but these will be supported by work-based evidence. It’s a really flexible way to study and you can build a programme that suits your exact needs.
